Pinehurst ~ Home of American Golf

Thanks to the early success of Richard’s book, Pinehurst ~ Home of American Golf (The Evolution of a Legend), he was asked to speak at the annual Golf Digest Raters Panel on October 26, 2007. As one would expect, he discussed the history of Pinehurst and its place in the history of golf course architecture in America. Richard related why he thought Pinehurst No. 2 was the course to gain popularity over the other Pinehurst courses and recounted the struggles and successes the Tufts family had in developing Pinehurst. He also discussed the development of his book and described his experiences as a first-time publisher.
